Apple’s iPhone Duo was officially unveiled on September 9, 2026, according to the specification sheet. The foldable pairs a 7.6-inch main screen with a 5.4-inch cover display and uses the Apple A20 Pro processor. It is listed as coming soon, with release expected on October 23.
Design & display
Both screens use LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The main display has a resolution of 1878 x 2670 pixels, while the cover screen measures 1398 x 2034 pixels. Both list 1,000 nits typical brightness, 1,600 nits in high-brightness mode and a 3,000-nit peak.
The inner screen has a Nano Texture finish, an anti-reflective coating and a small display crease. The cover display also has an anti-reflective coating, alongside Ceramic Shield 2 protection. Stylus support is included.
The phone measures 117.8 x 164.6 x 5.2 mm unfolded and 117.8 x 84.1 x 11.3 mm folded, with a weight of 254g. Its frame and hinge use grade 5 titanium, and the glass back has Ceramic Shield protection. The IP68 rating covers dust resistance and immersion in water up to six metres deep for 30 minutes. A fingerprint sensor sits on the side.
Performance
The A20 Pro is built on a 2nm process and combines a six-core CPU with a seven-core Apple GPU. All four storage options—256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB—come with 12GB of RAM. There is no memory card slot.
Connectivity includes 5G, tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC. The USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 and DisplayPort, while a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip is also listed.
Cameras
The rear camera pair consists of a 48 MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture and sensor-shift optical image stabilisation, plus a 48 MP ultrawide with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. Both support phase-detection autofocus.
Rear video options include 4K recording at up to 120fps, ProRes, Dolby Vision HDR and spatial video/audio. An under-display camera has an f/1.8 aperture and records 1080p video at 30 or 60fps. The cover camera is a 12 MP multi-aspect unit with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus.
